Lake

Lake

This time another video from my daily sketches series. Well, honestly speaking, I stopped doing those sketches some time ago (lack of time) but I still have some I wish to share with you, as they might help you improve your own skills or maybe motivate you. For me this one was particularly difficult, possibly due to lack of experience in painting landscapes. But that's okay! Practice makes perfect!

Tulips

Tulips

For today I've prepared another short (ok, maybe not so short) video with me drawing tulips. Somehow I am usually terrible at drawing flowers. On my images they are always heavy and artificial looking. Well, drawing aside, in real life I'm not any better at handling flowers, everything in my pots is either dried or rotten. There must be something in flowers that I don't understand :D I liked those tulips though, maybe you can benefit from this short video too.

Skull

Skull

Believe me or not, it's very hard to find time for writing and making tutorials while I'm in Japan (after all strolling around is more entertaining than sitting in front of computer), but I don't want to abandon the website for so long so here is the next on from the Daily Sketches series. Maybe not very optimistic drawing, but surely a great exercise ;)

Mt. Fuji

Mt. Fuji

I have no idea why this even happened, but this movie is the only one among all "daily sketches" movies, which had worse quality from the very beginning. I don't like it and I wouldn't even post it but on the other hand even though you can't see details clearly, you can still see what I do and follow along. And on top of that it corresponds nicely with me flying to Japan on Monday. This is a coincidence I couldn't ignore :D So this is something like postcard from me, or maybe a goodbye - Mt. Fuji.

Gun

Gun

Never too many hands, I'd say. Another hand-drawing exercise and in the same time a moment spend on the gun. This was another quick sketchy exercise for me, right after hard exam (if you are wondering - I picked the topic for my exercise at random so it was a coincidence... and yes, I passed with flying colors). Anyway I was tired so it didn't go all that well but final result is acceptable so I am showing the process. Hands are tricky - sometimes easy, sometimes super hard. But that's why you practice! :)
